Ny version av Carbon coder har släppts. Den senaste versionen heter 3.14.0 och har en del trevliga nyheter.

We are pleased to announce the release of our newest version 3.14.0. This version has a host of new features, including:
- Improved H.264 transcoding quality and performance
- Microsoft Smooth Streaming export
- Avid MXF export (codecs supported include DNxHD, IMX, XDCAM, JFIF, etc.)
- New filters to improve quality including MCTF (Motion-Compensated Temporal Filtering) and De-Blocking
- A new plug in interface (called RPI) that allows the creation of importers, exporters, and filters
- Newest Omneon SDK, VC-1 enterprise SDK, …
- Teletext handling, STL imprinting
- ITU 1770 loudness correction
Carbon Farm generation 4 allows you to build highly redundant and scaling transcoding farms. The new architecture allows to add the new metadata and content Quality Control service as well as 3rd party engines like DRM systems to the transcoding workflow. And finally new client applications are visualising, monitoring and reporting the processes inside the farm better than ever before.
The QC service allow to check for metadata of container and codec as well as for audio and video content. It runs as a task inside a Carbon Farm generation 4 and allows to use data from the transcoding for the QC tests.
